The Heavens Declare (19)

`Bless’d_ is the one who does not walk_ in the counsel / of the wicked,

`nor stand on the / path of sinners, • • `nor sit in the / seat of scoffers;

but `whose delight is in the law_ / of the LORD,

`and who meditates_ on his law_ / day and night.

`He is like a tree_ planted by_ / streams of water,

`that produces fruit_ / in its season,

`and whose leaf_ / does not wither.

`Whatever he / does shall prosper.

The `wicked / are not so,

`but are like the chaff_ which the wind_ / drives away.

`There_ fore the wicked shall not stand_ / in the judgment,

nor `sinners in_ the assembly / of the righteous. +

`For the LORD_ watches over the way / of the righteous,

`but the way_ of the wicked / shall~ perish.
