Psalm 11

Out of the Depths (130)

`In the LORD_, / I take refuge.

How `can you say to me, “Flee as a bird_ / to your mountain!

For `look, the wicked / bend their bows. • • They `set their arrows / on the strings,

that `they may shoot in darkness at the up_ / right in heart. +

`If the foun_ dations / are destroyed,

what `can the / righteous do?”

The `LORD is in his / holy temple.

The `LORD is on his / throne in heaven.

`His_ / eyes observe.

`His_ eyes examine the_ children / of mankind.

The `LORD examines the_ / right~ eous,

`but he hates the wicked and the one who loves_ / violence.

`On the wicked he will rain_ / blazing coals;

`fire_, sulfur, and_ scorching wind shall be the portion / of their cup. +

`For the LORD is righteous. He loves / righteousness.

The `upright shall_ / see his face.
