Psalm 14

Out of the Depths (130)

The `fool has said_ / in his heart,

`“There_ / is no God.”

They `are corrupt and have done / vile~ deeds.

`There is no one / who does good.

The `LORD looks down from heaven on the children / of mankind,

to `see if there are any who_ understand, who seek_ / after God.

`Ev’ry one of them has turned away. They have together be_ / come corrupt.

`There is no one who does good_, no_, / not~ one.

(Ref)

Have `they no knowledge, all the workers of in / iquity,

`who eat up my people as they / eat~ bread, • • `and do not call / on the LORD?

`But they will be in_ / great~ fear,

for `God is with those who are / right~ eous. +

`You would frus_ trate the plan_ / of the poor,

be `cause the LORD_ / is his refuge.

`Oh that the salvation of_ Israel would come_ / out of Zion!

`When the LORD restores the fortunes / of his people,

then `Jacob / shall rejoice,

and `Israel_ / shall be glad.
