The Heavens Declare (19)

`Praise is due you, O_ / God, in Zion.

`Vows shall be per / formed to you.

`You who / hear~ prayer,

`all mankind will / come to you.

`Sins_ over / whelmed~ me,

but `you atoned for / our transgressions.

`Bless’d_ is the one whom you choose to bring near to live_ / in your courts. 

`We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your / holy temple.

By `awesome deeds of / righteousness,

you `answer us_, God of / our salvation.

`You who are the hope of all the ends_ / of the earth

and `of the / farthest seas.

`By your power, you_ / form the mountains,

`having armed your / self with strength.

You `still the roaring / of the seas,

the `roaring of their waves_, and the turmoil / of the nations.

`They who dwell in / far-off lands

are `awed_ / at your wonders.

You `call the dawn_ / of the morning

`and the evening with_ / songs of joy.

You `greatly en_ / rich~ it.

The `river of_ God is / full of water.

`You provide them grain, for so you have or / dained~ it.

You `drench its furrows. You level its / rid~ ges.

You `soften it with showers. You_ bless it / with a crop.

You `crown the year_ / with your bounty.

Your `carts_ overflow_ / with abundance.

The `wilderness_ grasslands / overflow.

The `hills are clothed with / glad~ ness.

The `pastures are_ covered / with~ flocks.

The `valleys are_ / clothed with grain. • • They `shout for / joy and sing!
