Psalm 143

Hear Us, Shepherd (80)

`Hear my / prayer~, LORD.

`Listen to_ / my petitions.

`In your faithfulness and / righteousness,

`re_ / lieve~ me.

`Do not enter into judgment / with your servant,

for `in your sight_ no one living is_ / right~ eous.

`For the enemy pur / sues~ me.

`He has struck my life down / to the ground.

(Ref)

`He has made me live in / dark~ places,

`as those who have been_ / long~ dead.

`Therefore my_ spirit is_ over / whelmed within me.

My `heart within me is_ / desolate.

`I remember the_ / days of old. • I `meditate on all_  / you have done.

I `contemplate the work_ / of your hands.

`I spread out my / hands to you.

I `thirst for you_, like a / parched~ land.

Selah.

`Hurry to_ answer / me~, LORD.

`My_ / spirit fails.

`Do not hide your / face from me,

`so that I do not become like those who go down / to the pit.

(Ref)

`Cause_ me to hear your loving kindness / in the morning,

`for I / trust in you.

`Cause_ me to know the way in which_ / I should walk,

for `I entrust my / life to you.

De `liver me_, LORD_, from my / enemies.

I  `flee to you to / hide~ me.

`Teach_ me to do your will, for you_ / are my God.

`Let_ your good Spirit lead me in the land of / uprightness.

Re  `vive me, LORD_, for your / name’s~ sake.

`In your righteousness_, bring me / out of trouble.

`In your loving kind_ ness, cut off my / enemies,

`and destroy all those_ who / afflict~ me, • • for `I_ / am your servant.
