Doug Lauver has been an English teacher in Japan, a missionary linguist in Papua New Guinea, and a web developer and trainer in the United States.

After reviving a music hobby during the pandemic in 2020, he explored the different ways the Psalms have been sung over time, and began experimenting with his own.

Doug holds an M.A. in Linguistics from Michigan State University and a B.A. in Psychology from Spring Arbor University.
