The Heavens Declare (19)

`Bless the LORD_, / O my soul!
And `all that is within me, praise his / holy name!
`Bless the LORD_, / O my soul,
and `do not forget all his / benefits,
`who forgives_ / all your sins,
who `heals all / your diseases,
`who redeems your life_ / from destruction,
who `crowns you with_ loving kindness and_ / tender mercies, +
who `satisfies_ your desire_ / with good things,
so `that your youth_ is renewed_ / like the eagle’s.

The `LORD works / righteous acts,
and `justice for_ all who / are oppressed.
`He made known his / ways to Moses,
his `deeds_ to the children of_ / Israel.
The `LORD is merciful and / gra~ cious,
`slow to anger, and abundant in_ / loving kindness.
`He will not al / ways accuse;
`neither will he stay angry for / e~ ver.
`He has not_ dealt with us according / to our sins,
`nor repaid us for_ our in / iquities.
For `as the heavens are_ high a / bove the earth,
so `great_ is his loving kindness toward_ / those who fear him.

As `far_ as the east is / from the west,
so `far has he removed_ our transgressions / from~ us.
`Like a father has compassion / on his children,
`so the LORD_ has compassion on_ / those who fear him. +
`For he knows how / we are made.
`He remembers that_ / we are dust.
`As for man, his days are / like~ grass.
`As a flower of the field_, so he / flourishes.
`For the wind_ passes over it, and / it is gone.
Its `place remembers / it no more.
`But the loving kindness / of the LORD
`is from everlasting to_ everlasting with_ / those who fear him,
his `righteousness to / children’s children,
to `those who keep his / covenant, • • to `those_ who remember to o / bey his precepts.

The `LORD_ has established his_ throne_ / in the heavens.
His `kingdom rules_ / over all.
`Praise the LORD, you angels of his, who are mighty / in~ strength,
`who fulfill his word, obeying the voice / of his word.
`Praise the LORD_, all you / hosts of his,
you `servants of his, who_ / do his will.
`Praise the LORD_, all you / works of his, • `in all places of_ / his dominion.
`Praise the LORD_, / O my soul!
