Psalm 105

O Come (95)

Give `thanks_ to the LORD! Call / on his name!

`Make his deeds_ known a / mong the peoples.

`Sing to him, sing praises / to~ him!

`Tell of all his marvel / ous~ works.

`Glory in his / holy name.

`Let the heart of those who seek the / LORD rejoice.

`Seek the LORD_ / and his strength.

`Seek his face for / ever more.

(Ref)

Re `member his marvelous works that / he has done:

his `wonders, and the judgments / he pronounced,

you `off_ spring of Abra / ham, his servant,

you `children of_ Jacob, his_ / chosen ones.

He `is the / LORD, our God.

His `judgments are in / all the earth.

`He_ has remembered his_ covenant for / e~ ver,

the `word which he commanded to a thousand / generations,

the `covenant which he_ made with / Abraham,

his `oath to / I~ saac,

`and confirmed_ it to Jacob as_ / a decree;

to `Israel_ for an everlasting / covenant,

(Ref)

`saying, “To you I will give the / land of Canaan,

the `lot of your in / heritance,”

when `they were / few in number,

`very few, and so_ / journers in it.

They `went about from nation / to~ nation,

from `one_ kingdom / to another.

`He allowed no one to / do them wrong.

`He reproved_ kings_ / for their sakes,

`“Do not touch_ my a / nointed ones!

`Do my prophets / no~ harm!”

`He called for a famine / on the land.

`He destroyed the / food supplies.

(Ref)

He `sent a man be / fore~ them.

`Joseph was sold / for a slave.

They `bruised his / feet with shackles.

His `neck was / locked in irons,

un `til the time his word_ / came to pass,

`and the word_ of the LORD_ / proved him true.

The `king_ sent and / freed~ him,

the `ruler of_ peoples, and_ let him / go~ free.

`He_ made him lord_ / of his house,

and `ruler of all / his possessions,

to `discipline his princes / at his pleasure,

`and to teach his / elders wisdom.

(Ref)

`Israel_ also came_ / into Egypt.

`Jacob lived_ in the / land of Ham.

`He increased his / people greatly,

and `made them stronger / than their foes.

He `turned their heart to / hate his people,

`to conspire a / gainst his servants.

`He sent Moses, / his ~ servant,

and `Aaron, whom_ / he had chosen.

`They performed_ miracles a / mong~ them,

and `wonders in the / land of Ham.

`He sent darkness, and_ / made it dark,

for `had they not rebelled a / gainst his words?

(Ref)

He `turned their waters / into blood,

`and_ / killed their fish.

Their `land_ / swarmed with frogs,

`even in the rooms_ / of their kings.

He `spoke, and swarms of / flies~ came,

and `lice through / out their country.

He `gave them / hail for rain,

with `lightning / in their land.

He `struck their vines_ and their / fig~ trees,

and `shattered the_ trees_ / of their country.

He `spoke_, and the / locusts came

`with the grass_ hoppers, / without number.

(Ref)

They `ate up ev’ry plant_ / in their land,

`and ate up the fruit_ / of their ground.

`He struck also all the firstborn / in their land,

the `first_ fruits of / all their strength.

He `brought them out with silver / and~ gold.

There `was not one among his tribes that / stum~ bled.

`Egypt was_ glad when / they departed,

`for the fear of Israel had fallen / on~ them.

He `spread a cloud_ for a / covering,

`fire_ to give light_ / in the night.

They `asked, and / he brought quail,

and `satisfied them with_ / bread from heaven.

(Ref)

`He opened the rock, and waters / gushed~ out.

They `ran_ as a river in the / dry~ places.

For `he remembered his_ / holy promise,

and `Abra / ham, his servant.

He `brought his people / out with joy,

his `chosen / with~ singing.

`He gave them the lands_ / of the nations.

`They received what others / had worked for, +

that `they might keep his / sta~ tutes,

`and observe his laws_. / Praise the LORD!
