`I_ / love the LORD, 

be `cause_ he has heard my / cries for mercy.

Be `cause_ he has turned his / ear to me,

`therefore I will call on him as long_ / as I live.

The `cords of death sur / rounded me, • • the `pains of Sheol got a / hold of me.

`I found trouble / and~ sorrow.

`Then I called_ on the name_ / of the LORD:

`“LORD, I beg you, de_ / liver me.”

my `eyes from tears_, and my / feet from falling.

`I will walk be / fore the LORD 

`in the land_ / of the living.

`I believed even when I said, “I am great_ ly af / flict~ ed.”

`I said in my haste, “All people / are~ liars.”
