`Help_, LORD_; for the godly / one is gone.

`For the faithful have_ vanished from the children / of mankind.

`Ev’ryone_ lies_ / to their neighbor.

They `speak with flatt’ring lips, and with a / double heart.

`May the LORD cut off all / flatt’ring lips,

`and the / tongue that boasts,

`who have said_, “With our tongue we / will prevail.

`Our lips are our own_. Who is lord_ / over us?”

`and because_ of the groaning  / of the needy,

`I will now arise,” / says the LORD;

`“I will provide safety for the one who / longs for it.”

`You will / keep us, LORD.

The `wicked prowl on / ev’ry side,when `what is vile_ is exalted by the children / of mankind.
