`I was glad_ when they / said to me,

`“Let us go_ to the house_ / of the LORD!”

`Our_feet are / stand~ ing

with `in your gates, Je / rusalem!

Je `rusalem is built_ / as a city

`that is bound_ firm_ ly to / geth~ er,

`where the tribes go up, the tribes_ / of the LORD,

as `was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name_ / of the LORD.

the `thrones of / David’s house.

`Pray_ for the peace_ of Je / rusalem.

May `those who love you / be secure.

`Peace_ be with / in your walls,

`and security within your / fortresses.

`For my brothers’ and com / panions’ sakes,

`I will now say, “Peace_ be with / in~ you.” +

`For the sake_ of the house_ of the / LORD our God,

`I will / seek your good.
