In My Distress (120)

`Many times they have afflicted me from / my youth up.
Let `Israel_ / now~ say:
`many times they have afflicted me from / my youth up,
`yet_ they have not pre / vailed against me.
The `plowers plowed_ / on my back.
They `made their / furrows long.
The `LORD_ / is~ righteous.
`He has cut apart the cords_ / of the wicked.
(Ref)
`Let them be turned / back in shame,
`all those / who hate Zion.
Let `them be as the grass_ / on the housetops,
which `withers before / it grows up,
which `does not fill the / reapers hand,
`nor the arms_ of the binder / of~ sheaves.
`Neither do those who go by_ say, “The blessing of the LORD_ / be on you.
We `bless you in the name_ / of the LORD.”
