The LORD Reigns (93)

`LORD, re / member David
and `all_ / his affliction,
`how he swore_ / to the LORD,
and `vowed_ to the Mighty / One of Jacob:
`“Surely I will not come into / my~ house,
`nor go up in / to my bed;
`I will not give sleep_ / to my eyes,
or `slumber / to my eyelids,
(Ref)
un `til I find a place_ / for the LORD,
a `dwelling for the Mighty One of / Ja~ cob.”
We `heard_ of the ark in / Ephrathah.
We `found it in the field_ / of~ Jaar.
`“We will go into his / dwelling place.
`We will worship / at his footstool.”
A `rise_, LORD, into your / resting place,
`you_, and the ark_ / of your strength.
`Let your priests be clothed with / righteousness.
`Let your faithful people / shout for joy!
`For your servant / David’s sake,
`do not turn away the face of your a / nointed one.
(Ref)
The `LORD_ swore an / oath to David.
`He will not_ / turn from it:
`“I will set the fruit_ / of your body
`on_ / your~ throne.
`If your children will_ keep my / covenant,
my `testimony that I will_ / teach~ them,
`their_ children / al~ so
`will sit on your throne for / ever more.”
`For the LORD has / chosen Zion.
`He_ has desired it_ for his / dwelling place.
`“This_ is my resting place for / e~ ver.
`I will live here, for I have de / sired~ it.
(Ref)
`I will abundantly bless_ / her provision.
`I will satisfy her / poor with bread.
`I will clothe her priests_ / with salvation.
Her `faithful people will_ shout a / loud for joy.
`I will make the horn of David to_ / bud~ there.
`I_ have prepared a lamp for / my anointed.
`I will clothe his ene / mies with shame,
but `on himself, his / crown will shine.”
