`LORD_, you have searched me, and you / know~ me.
You `know my sitting down_ and my / rising up. • • `You perceive my thoughts_ / from afar.
`You search out my path_ and my / lying down,
and `are acquainted with_ / all my ways.
Be `fore a word is on my tongue_, LORD, you / know it all.
`You_ have en / circled me.
`You have laid your / hand on me.
This `knowledge is be / yond~ me. • • `It is lofty. I can / not attain it.

If `I ascend up into heaven, / you are there.

`even there your hand will / lead~ me,
and `your right hand will / hold~ me.
`If I say_, “Sure_ ly the darkness will_ over / whelm~ me.
The `light around me / will be night,”
