In My Distress (120)

`LORD_, I have called on you. Come to me / quick~ ly!
`Listen to my voice_ when I / call to you.
`Let my prayer be set before you like_ / in~ cense;
the `lifting up_ of my hands_ like the evening / sacrifice.
`Set a watch, O LORD, be / fore my mouth.
`Keep the door_ / of my lips.
`Do not let my heart be drawn to any / evil thing,
to `practice deeds of wickedness with those who work in / iquity. • • `Do not let me eat_ of their deli / ca~ cies.
(Ref)
`Let the righteous strike me, / it is kindness;
`let_ him re / prove~ me,
`it is like_ oil_ / on the head; • `do not let my head re / fuse~ it;
`For my prayer is always against / evil deeds. +
`When their rulers are thrown down_ / from the cliffs
`they will learn_ that my / words were true.
As `when one plows and breaks_ / up the earth,
our `bones are scattered at the / mouth of Sheol.
But `my eyes are on you_, / LORD, my Lord.
`I take refuge in you. Do not / let me die.
`Keep me from the snare which they have / laid for me,
`from the traps_ of the workers of in / iquity.
`Let the wicked fall together into / their own nets
`while_ / I pass by.
