Out of the Depths (130)

`Bles-sed be the LORD_, / my~ rock,
who `trains my hands to war_, and my fingers / to~ battle;
my `loving kindness, my_ / for~ tress,
my `stronghold, my de / liverer, +
my `shield, and he in whom I / take~ refuge,
`who subdues_ peoples / under me.
`LORD_, what are human beings, that you / care for them?
`Or mere mortals, that you / think of them?
`They are / like a breath.
Their `days are like a / passing shadow.
(Ref)
`Part your heavens, LORD_, / and come down.
`Touch the mountains, and_ / they will smoke.
`Throw out lightning, and_ scatter / the~ foe.
`Send_ out your arrows, and_ / rout~ them. • • `Stretch_ out your hand_ / from above.
`Rescue me_, and deliver me out of the / mighty waters,
`out_ of the hands of / foreign foes,
whose `mouths_ / speak deceit,
whose `right hand is a right_ / hand of falsehood.
`I will sing a new_ song to / you, O God.
`On a ten-stringed harp I will sing praises / to~ you.
`You are he who gives salvation / to~ kings,
who `rescues David, his_ servant, from the / deadly sword.
(Ref)
`Rescue me_, and de / liver me
`out_ of the hands of / foreign foes,
whose `mouths_ / speak deceit,
whose `right hand is a right_ / hand of falsehood.
`Then our sons will be like well_- / nurtured plants,
our `daughters like_ pillars carved_ to a / dorn a palace.
Our `barns_ will be full_, filled with all kinds / of provision.
Our `sheep will produce thousands and ten thousands / in our fields.
Our `oxen will pull / heavy loads.
There `is no breach_ / in the walls,
`and no going into cap_ / tivity,
and `no cry of distress_ / in our streets. +
`Happy are the people / with such blessings.
`Happy are the people whose_ God_ / is the LORD.
