Pre `serve me, / O~ God, 

for `I take refuge / in~ you.

`I said / to the LORD, 

`“You_ are my Lord. Apart from you I have_ / no good thing.”

As `for the holy ones who are_ / in the land,

`they_ are the excellent ones in whom is all / my delight. 

Their `sorrows shall be / multiplied

who `run after a / nother god.

Their `drink off’rings of blood I / will not offer,

nor `take their names_ / on my lips.

The `LORD_ is my portion / and my cup.

You `made my / lot secure. 

The `lines have fallen to me in_ / pleasant places.

In `deed, I have a good in / heritance.

`I will bless the LORD, who / counsels me.

My `heart instructs me even / in the night.

`I have set the LORD always be / fore~ me.

Be `cause he is at my right hand_, I shall / not be moved.

`Therefore my_ heart is glad_, and my / tongue rejoices.

My `body shall_ also / dwell in safety.
