Psalm 27

Out of the Depths (130)

The `LORD_ is my light and / my salvation.

`Whom_ / shall I fear?

The `LORD_ is the strength_ / of my life.

Of `whom_ shall I / be afraid?

When `evildoers came at me_ to devour_ / my~ flesh, • • my `enemies_ / and my foes,

they `stumbled / and~ fell.

`Though an army should encamp a / gainst~ me,

my `heart_ / shall not fear. +

Though `war should rise a / gainst~ me,

`even then I will be / confident.

(Ref)

`One thing I have asked_ of the LORD, that / I will seek:

`that I may dwell in the house_ of the LORD_ all the days_ / of my life,

to `see the beauty / of the LORD,

and `to inquire_ / in his temple.

For `in the day of trouble, he will keep me safe_ / in his shelter.

`In the secret place_ of his tent_, / he will hide me.

`He will lift me up_ / on a rock.

`Now my head_ will be lifted up above my enemies a / round~ me.

`I will offer sacrifices of_ joy_ / in his tent.

`I will sing_, I will sing_ praises / to the LORD.

`Hear, LORD, when I cry_ / with my voice.

Have `mercy on me, and_ / answer me.

(Ref)

`When you said_, / “Seek my face,”

`my heart said to you_, “I will seek your / face~, LORD.”

`Do not hide your / face from me.

`Do not put your servant a_ way in / an~ ger.

`You have / been my help.

Do `not a / bandon me, • `neither for_ sake me, God of / my salvation.

`When my father and my mother for_ / sake~ me,

`then the LORD will / take me up.

`Teach_ me your / way~, LORD.

`Lead me in a straight_ path, because of my_ / enemies.

`Do not give me over to the will_ / of my foes,

for `false_ witnesses rise up against me, breathing out_ / cruelty.

(Ref)

`I am still_ confi / dent of this:

`I will see the goodness of the LORD_ in the land_ / of the living.

`Wait_ / for the LORD. • Be `strong, and let your / heart take courage.

`Yes_, wait_ / for the LORD.
