Psalm 28

Out of the Depths (130)

To `you_, LORD, I call. My rock, do not be / deaf to me,

`lest, if you are silent to me, I become like those who go down / to the pit.

`Hear the voice of my petitions, when I / cry to you,

`when I lift my hands toward your Most / Holy Place.

Do `not drag me away_ / with the wicked,

`with the workers of in / iquity • `who speak peace_ with their neighbors, but malice is / in their hearts.

Re `pay_ them according to what / they have done,

`and according to the wickedness_ / of their deeds.

(Ref)

Re `pay_ them according to the work_ / of their hands.

Bring `back on them what / they deserve.

Be `cause_ they do not respect the works_ / of the LORD, • `nor the work_ / of his hands,

`he will break them down_ and not / build them up.

`Bles-sed / be the LORD,

be `cause_ he has heard the voice of / my petitions.

The `LORD_ is my strength_ / and my shield.

My `heart has trusted in him, and_ / I am helped. +

`Therefore my heart greatly / re~ joices.

`With my song_ I will / thank~ him.

The `LORD_ is the strength_ / of his people.

`He_ is a stronghold of salvation to_ / his anointed.

`Save your people, and bless / your possession.

`Shepherd them, and bear them / up forever.
