Psalm 48

O Come (95)

`Great_ is the LORD_, and_ greatly / to be praised,

`in the city of our God_, in his / holy mountain.

`Beautiful in / elevation, • • the `joy of / the whole earth,

`is Mount Zion, in the far_ north, the city of the / great~ King. +

`God has shown himself_ / as a stronghold

`in her / citadels.

Be `hold the kings assembled / them~ selves,

`they ad / vanced together.

`When they saw her they_ / were astounded.

`They were terrified and / took to flight. +

`Trembling took_ hold of / them~ there,

`pain, as of a woman / in travail.

(Ref)

`With the / east~ wind,

you `break the / ships of Tarshish.

`As_ we have heard, so we have seen_ in the city of the / LORD of hosts, • •  in the city / of our God.

`God_ will establish / her forever.

Selah.

We `contemplate your loving kindness, / O~ God,

`in the middle / of your temple.

As `is your name, O God, so is your praise_ to the ends_ / of the earth.

`Your right hand is full of / righteousness.

`Let Mount Zion / be~ glad!

`Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of / your~ judgments.

`Walk about_ Zion, and_ go a / round~ her.

`Number / its~ towers.

(Ref)

`Notice her_ bulwarks. Con_ sider her_ / citadels,

`that you may_ tell it to the next_ / generation.

`For this God_ is our God forever / and~ ever.

`He will always / lead~ us.
