Be `merciful to me, O God, be merci / ful to me,

`for I take_ refuge / in~ you.

`In the shadow of your wings, I / will take refuge,

un `til disaster / has~ passed.

`I cry out to / God Most High,

to `God_ who fulfills his purposes_ / for~ me.

`He will send from heaven, and_ / save~ me, • • `he rebukes the one who is pur / suing me.

`God_ will send out his loving kindness and his / faithfulness.

`I am / among lions.

I `lie among_ / fi’ry beasts,

`people whose_ teeth are / spears and arrows,

`and their tongue a / sharp~ sword. +

`Be exalted, O_ God, a / bove the heavens!

`Let your glory be_ over / all the earth!
