Psalm 7

Hear Us, Shepherd (80)

`LORD, my God_, I take refuge / in~ you.

`Save_ me from all those who pursue me, and de / liver me,

`lest they tear_ me apart_ / like a lion,

`ripping me in pieces, while_ there is no one / to deliver.

`LORD, my God, if I have / done~ this,

`if there is iniquity_ / in my hands,

`if I have done harm to one who was at / peace with me

or `robbed my adversary / without cause, +

`let an enemy pursue and over / take~ me;

`let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory / in the dust.

Selah.

(Ref)

A `rise, LORD, / in your anger.

Lift `up yourself against the rage_ of my / adversaries.

A `wake_ / for~ me.

`You have / ordered judgment.

`Let_ the assembly of the peoples sur_ / round~ you.

`Rule_ over / them on high.

The `LORD administers_ judgment / to the peoples.

`Judge me, LORD, according to my / righteousness, • • `and to my integrity_ that is / in~ me.

Oh `let the wickedness_ of the wicked come_ / to an end,

`but establish the_ / right~ eous;

`their_ / minds and hearts

are `searched_ by the / righteous God.

(Ref)

My `shield is / with~ God,

who `saves_ the up / right in heart.

`God_ is a / righteous judge,

a `God who has_ indignation / ev’ry day.

If `anyone does not repent_, he will sharpen / his~ sword;

`he has bent and / strung his bow.

`He_ has prepared his / deadly weapons.

`He makes ready his_ / flaming arrows.

Be `hold, the wicked one is pregnant with in / iquity,

con `ceiving trouble, and_ giving / birth to lies.

`He who / digs a hole,

`falls into the pit which / he has made.

(Ref)

The `trouble he_ causes shall return to / his own head.

His `violence shall come down on the crown of / his own head.

`I will give thanks to the LORD according to his / righteousness,

`and will sing praise to the name_ of the / LORD Most High.
