Psalm 9

The LORD Reigns (93)

`I will give thanks to the LORD_ with my / whole~ heart.

`I will tell of all your / marv’lous works.

`I will be glad and re / joice in you.

`I will sing_ praise_ to your name_, / O Most High.

`When my enemies_ / turn~ back,

they `stumble and_ perish / in your presence.

For `you have main_ tained my / just~ cause.

`You sit on the throne_ judging / righteously.

(Ref)

`You_ have rebuked the / na~ tions. • `You_ have de / stroyed the wicked.

`You have blotted out their name forever / and~ ever.

The `enemy is overtaken by_ / endless ruin.

The `very memory_ of the cities which_ you have overthrown has / per~ ished.

`But the LORD_ / reigns forever.

`He_ has prepared his / throne for judgment.

`He will judge the world in / righteousness.

`He_ will administer_ judgment to the peoples in_ / uprightness.

The `LORD will also be a refuge for_ / the oppressed;

a `refuge in_ / times of trouble.

`Those who know your name will put their / trust in you,

for `you_, LORD, have not forsaken those who / seek~ you.

(Ref)

Sing `praises to the LORD, who / dwells in Zion,

`and declare among the people what_ / he has done.

For `he_ who avenges blood re / members them.

`He does not forget the cry of / the afflicted.

Have `mercy / on me, LORD. • `See_ my affliction by_ those who / hate~ me,

and `lift me up_ from the / gates of death,

that `I may show all / of your praise.

`I_ will rejoice in your salvation in the gates_ of the daughter / of~ Zion.

The `nations have sunk down_ in the pit that / they~ made.

`In the net which they hid, their own / foot is caught.

The `LORD has made himself known by his / acts of justice.

The `wicked is_ snared_ by the work of / his own hands.

Higgaion. Selah.

(Ref)

The `wicked shall be turned_ / back to Sheol,

`all the nations that for / get~ God.

`For the needy shall not always / be forgotten,

`nor the hope_ of the poor_ perish for_ / e~ ver.

A `rise_, LORD!_ Do not let mere humans / pre~ vail.

`Let the nations be_ judged be / fore~ you.

`Put them in_ / fear~, LORD.

`Let the nations know that they are / mere~ mortals.

Selah.
