O Come (95)

The `LORD_ reigns!_ Let the / earth rejoice!

`Let the distant / shores be glad!

`Clouds and darkness are a / round~ him.

`Righteousness and justice are_ the foundation / of his throne.

A `fire_ goes be / fore~ him,

`and burns up his adversaries on_ / ev’ry side.

His `lightning lights_ / up the world.

The `earth_ sees, and / trem~ bles.

The `mountains melt like wax_ at the presence / of the LORD,

`at the presence of the Lord of / the whole earth.

The `heavens de_ clare his / righteousness.

`All the peoples have_ / seen his glory.

Let `all those be ashamed who serve_ worthless / images, • who `boast_ / in their idols.

`Worship him_, / all you gods!

`Zion hears_ / and is glad.

The `daughters of Judah rejoice because of your_ / judgments, LORD.

For `you, LORD, are most high above_ / all the earth.

`You_ are exalted far a / bove all gods.

`You who love the LORD_, / hate~ evil!

`He preserves the lives_ of his / faithful ones. • • `He delivers them out of the hand_ / of the wicked.

Be `glad_ in the LORD, you / righteous ones!
